Meet our Keynote Speaker: Rev. Dr. Paul Msiza

Paul Msiza is a native of South Africa. Born in Mamelodi, one of the townships of the capital city of Pretoria, he grew up during the difficult times of the Apartheid. He was called to ministry while working as a teacher. He served in several rural churches as a bivocational pastor. In 2001, he planted the Peniel Salem Baptist Church where he is currently serving as senior pastor. He has served as President of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship (2006-2011), BWA Vice President (2010-2015), and President of the Baptist World Alliance (2015-2020).  Paul continues to serve both his local church as senior pastor, his Convention in South Africa, and the BWA. In 2016, he was awarded an honorary doctoral degree by the Andhra Pradesh Theological University. In 2024, he completed his PhD program at the University of North-West in South Africa.

AABF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEET

  The Executive Committee members of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship met virtually on Tuesday, 7 th October, 2025 to put finishing touches to the preparations for the 2025 General Council Meeting scheduled for Bangui, Central African Republic between 22 nd to 27 th October, 2025. The meeting was presided over by Rev. Charlemagne Nditemeh due to the absence of the AABF President, Rev. Dr. Israel Akanji who was unavoidably absent.   The General Secretary, AABF, Pastor Elias Apetogbo was available to provide necessary guidance to the proceedings that lasted over 3 hours. The meeting served the purpose, attendance was highly encouraging and matters that bother on the 2025 General Council Meeting, the 2026 General Gathering, AABF membership applications, as well as the outlook of the next quinquennium for the African Baptist family were discussed. Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Pastor Elias Apetogbo

Elias Apetogbo   is a Togo Baptist Convention-trained Pastor who graduated from West Africa Baptist Advanced School of Theology in Lome, Togo. While serving as the Senior Pastor of Eglise Baptiste La Vraie Vie de Vakpossito in Lome, he was elected to serve as General Secretary of All Africa Baptist Fellowship (AABF) which also includes service as one of the six Regional Secretaries of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA). Elias is passionate about youth and children’s ministry. He served the Youth Department of AABF as its General Secretary before becoming the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the BWA Horizons Youth and Children Leaders Training Program, from which he graduated and became Horizons’ first mentor in Africa and first Coordinator for Africa. On July 10, 2007, Elias founded Guinos Foundation Association which engages youth and children in interacting with the Scripture through Bible championships and competitions. Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Rev. Dr. Elijah M. Brown

Rev. Dr. Elijah M. Brown (USA)  is the General Secretary and CEO of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA). Founded in 1905, the BWA is a Christian World Communion that draws upon 400 years of shared Baptist history with 253 member bodies in 130 countries and territories representing over 51 million baptized believers and 176,000 churches. The son of a pastor, Rev. Dr. Brown was ordained to Christian ministry in July 2002 and has served in various roles in the local church. Originally from Texas, he graduated Summa Cum Laude in three years with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a double major in Religion and History and a perfect Grade Point Average of 4.0.
