Sunday David Oladipupo from Nigeria wins the second edition of AABCM Young Preachers’ Contest

Image
The second edition of the Young Preachers’ Contest, organized by the children's ministry arm of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship, has come and gone, with Sunday David Oladipupo from Nigeria emerging as the continental champion. The contest started nearly one year ago with 32 contestants who applied from different countries. The jury members were carefully selected to reflect Africa, and they did thorough work from the first round to the final phase. The competition was conducted online through video submissions under a very strict code of conduct. The participants were required to showcase the name of their churches in every submission. They also preached in church settings, while most of the productions were produced by the media department of the churches. We deeply appreciate the strong commitment of our Baptist pastors in preparing the children for the contest. The AABF team visited Union Baptist Church, Agege, Lagos, Nigeria, on Sunday, 18th January, 2026 to present the...

BEYOND JERUSALEM

Image
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8) We extend a warm welcome to the year 2026, and we pray that it will be filled with glorious and lasting harvests in Jesus name. The Lord has greatly assisted the All Africa Baptist Fellowship (AABF) in achieving significant milestones in 2025. We highlighted some of these accomplishments in our previous edition, and we are grateful to God and our partners across Africa and beyond for their unwavering support. As adopted during the 2025 Executive Council Meeting, our theme for 2025-2027 is "Beyond Jerusalem" (Acts 1:8). Last year, we embarked on this journey, and it received widespread acceptance. This year, we call on every Baptist individual, family, local church, convention, union, and association to take the gospel beyond Jerusalem. The AABF, through the African Baptist Mission ...

A CALL FOR UNIFIED HUMANITARIAN ACTIONS

Image
A CALL FOR UNIFIED HUMANITARIAN ACTIONS The All Africa Baptist Fellowship (AABF) is using this medium to call on our Baptist individuals, Churches, Ministries, Conventions, Unions and Associations to join us in responding to the urgent calls from Burundi. Here is the latest call from one of our Baptist bodies in Burundi:   Alert for Congolese refugees in Burundi!!! Dear Rev., AABF Continental President, Happy New Year to you and family. The Baptist Union of Burundi send this alert to AABF to see if you can support us to help Congolese refugees from Eastern in Burundi who fled the country at the end of the last year 2025 due to the war near Burundi. Now they are facing many challenges of food, shelters, cooking items and bad health situations. Particularly children and old people are dying every day. Among them they are Baptists! Please help us to spread this alert to different Baptist organizations and others. The government and NGOs are overwhelmed by the situation. Rev. Ma...

Christmas Message 2025 from Pastor Elias Apetogbo - Continental President, AABF

Image
Colossians 1:16-17 “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things subsist.” Our Africa is in turmoil. A general catastrophe with upheaval where the compass struggles to find its bearings. The world is changing upside down. The ubiquity of lies, deception, cunning, duplicity, falsehood, and hypocrisy is almost at its zenith. Betrayal, disappointment, violence, dirty tricks, and attacks are commonplace. Greed, dissatisfaction, avarice, and selfishness are on display. Social, moral, economic, and physical violence and brutality are justified and supported by the law of the strongest.  Values that were once more or less respected, even revered, no longer mean anything. The fear of God is dying. Man, still a creature of God, in his fragility and vulnerability, cheerfully deludes himself into ...

2025; THUS FAR HATH THE LORD HELPED US

Image
T he Lord is good, all the time. This year marked a very significant phase in the ministry of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship. We experienced the goodness of God across the four regions and departments of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship (AABF) under the leadership of our Continental President, Pastor Elias Apetogbo. The Baptist family on the continent travelled length and breadth of the world and our continent doing ministry and we attest to God’s faithfulness. So, like the Psalmist, we say of a truth that ‘’ For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endure to all generations.’’ (Psalm 100:5).   The move of God manifested strongly in the areas of Missions with countless testimonies, the Lord sent forth His Words across Africa through the Youth Mission Year (YMY) project with eight young missionaries settling in Ghana, The Gambia, Guinea Conakry, South Africa and Namibia to win the lost to Christ and Disciple infant Christians to maturity. The call al...

Embrace Peace for the Good of all

Image
The All Africa Baptist Fellowship is fully committed to defending matters that concern Human Rights, Peacebuilding, Religious Freedom, and Multifaith Relations across Africa. We therefore receive with great concern the ongoing global uproar regarding the largest black nation on earth, Nigeria. To us in Africa and the Baptist family, the peace, stability, and prosperity of Nigeria is a blessing to the entire continent. We therefore appeal to all the parties concerned to embrace peace for the good of all.  The alleged violations of religious freedom and human rights in Nigeria call for great concern, and as Baptists on the continent of Africa, we are deeply saddened and call on all the stakeholders to chart the paths that put a stop to the menace of religious crisis. The Nigerian government has the responsibility of securing the lives and properties of people of all faiths, including Christians. We serve a relational God, and historically, Africans are known to be relational. ...
