Baptist Women Celebrate Growth and Grace




Today, we stand in awe of God for the glorious testimonies that emanated from Kampala, Uganda where Baptist women under the umbrella of   All Africa Baptist Women’s Fellowship (AABWF) gathered, fellowshipped and celebrated God’s goodnews. 

The conference, organized by the Eastern Africa Executive led by Dr. Mrs. Lugano took place between 15th to 19th October, 2025 at Arch Apartments, Ntinda, Kampala with the theme ‘’Woman of Purpose (Prov. 31:25-29). 

The conference had in attendance 185 delegates from five countries namely, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and the remarkable host, Uganda. 

The AABWF President, Deaconess Jane Mwangi, the AABF Eastern Africa Chairman, Rev. Abel Ssegirinya, Rev. Dr. Michael C. Okwakol who served as the AABF President between 2012 to 2016. 

According to the chief host, ‘’our women were charged in the areas of leadership, understanding the Baptist family and parenting in the 21st century’. She also spoke with excitement regarding the two delegates who attended from Rwanda ‘’we were so glad to receive the two delegates from Rwanda because in time past, we did not always see them. Therefore, to celebrate them. Therefore, we dedicated time to praise God specially and they too were so happy".  She had this to say regarding the ten delegates from Burundi ‘’yes, it used to be one or two delegates from Burundi. This time, we had ten who came and by the grace of God, we shall organize a conference in Burundi soon’’

The conference was marked with colorful presentations, banquet and expectedly, the women looked so gloriously dressed, praising God and committed to serving more. 

The AABWF-Eastern Africa president appealed to Baptist leaders and organizations to work more with the women in their efforts to encourage other countries within the region. She affirmed that with more of such efforts, countries like Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan would come alive and be actively involved in the fellowship. 

She closed by thanking God and commending her team for their dedication.

Commemoration of the fiftieth Anniversary of the AEBEC at the Stade Omnisport in Bangui

The occasion took place on wednesday, 23rd July, 2025 in the presence of the President of Central African Republic, Faustin Archange TOUADÉRA. The fiftieth anniversary act was marked by the passing of the torch from the Patriarch, Pastor GBESSE, one of the founders of AEBEC, to the youngest Pastor of this denomination. Today, it is a new generation of pastors who will lead the denomination towards its centenary. The occasion witnessed great turnout of the Baptist family with prayers of thanksgiving shared and supplications for the preservation of the country, her people and more developmental projects.  The President of the Republic solicited prayers for the General election scheduled to take place in December, 2025.
